This is something I created whilst playing around in Photoshop. I like to do random stuff with that program. I feel that some of the tools in Photoshop allow me to create without the excess materials needed to produce work with traditional media. To me digital art, or digital painting in Photoshop to be specific, is a completely valid art form.

Here are two other drawings also completed in college. These drawings were created with a focus on technique. I used compressed charcoal and gummy erasers. I was more concerned about getting each tone and line 'right' than anything else. I am trying to adapt my style to be more care free and less constrained by 'getting it right'. I 'm starting to believe that there shouldn't be a right and a wrong, that your style should flow from you and that you should feel a rush of excitement as you go through the creative process. Detail is still important of course, but should be less strenuous to achieve. I will be posting more recent work soon to show this progression. I still have so much room to grow though.

This is a drawing I did while in college. I used a lot of charcoal with erasers back then, still do but I've been drawing more with pens and pencils lately...
Hello

Welcome to my blog. It's a good blog. I mean there's blogs and then there's BLOGS, and my blog is a mighty fine BLOG.

Here you will find samples of artwork that I have done. From life drawing to some very rough illustration pieces. Also, links to good art related web pages, examples of work that represent styles that I like, poetry and other good stuff.

Enjoy!
